  • KCUMB-COM Alumnus Named 2011 Country Doctor of the Year

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (January 5, 2012) – KCUMB-COM alumnus, Keith Morrow, D.O., recently received the 2011 Country Doctor of the Year award for his dedication and service in two Alabama towns following a devastating tornado last April.

His story, featured in USA Today, is one of immediate and selfless acts in two towns, Hackleburg and Phil Campbell, Ala., which were nearly destroyed by tornado on April 27, 2011.  Dr. Morrow and his 15-person staff reopened clinics under tents to provide immediate medical care for the two communities.

The Country Doctor of the Year award is given each year by Staff Care, the largest physician staffing service in the United States, to honor a primary care physician who exemplifies the spirit of rural practitioners who practice in communities of 30,000 or less.
