  • SWOSU College of Pharmacy Selects KCUMB Professor as Outstanding Alumnus

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 11, 2012) – Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences’ faculty member Larry Segars, Pharm.D., Dr. P.H., was recently selected as the 2012 Outstanding Pharmacy Alumnus by the Southwestern Oklahoma State University College of Pharmacy. 

    The award is presented annually to an individual who demonstrates exceptional support of the college of pharmacy and outstanding personal and professional achievements.

    According to Patti Harper, alumni and development director for SWOSU College of Pharmacy, Segars stood out as a strong advocate for the university and role model for students and pharmacists.

    He will receive the award at a convocation for SWOSU College of Pharmacy in Weatherford, Okla., on April 30, 2012.

    Segars is chair and associate professor of pharmacology and microbiology at KCUMB.
