Take advantage of Careers in Medicine (CIM), a career-planning program designed to help students select a medical specialty and/or apply to residency programs. The premise behind this four-phase program is that physicians who choose careers that match their values, skills and interests will be more satisfied and successful in their working lives. Contact the Student Affairs Department for more information and to have KCUMB cover the cost of enrollment.
We understand that students sometimes face intense academic challenges, and it is possible that medical school will be the first time some students find themselves dealing with these issues. KCUMB offers learning enhancement and support services designed to improve your academic skills, including time management, study skills and test-taking abilities. Workshops and tutoring at no cost are also available to qualified students. For more information or to make an appointment, contact the Director of Learning Enhancement at ext. 7216.
Blackboard is the online, distance education software package that KCUMB uses to provide supplemental instruction to students. Blackboard is an integral part of the multimedia learning process for all KCUMB students.
