KCUMB's College of Biosciences currently offers two degree programs, which can be tailored to meet your specific needs: a master of science in biomedical sciences and a master of arts in bioethics.These programs showcase KCUMB’s continuing commitment to excellence in education, as well as its proactive approach to serving the community. Each program was designed, in part, to fulfill needs in the Kansas City community for additional professionals in research and bioethics.Kansas City is home to several of the country’s top research facilities, and KCUMB actively works to attract top researchers and funding to the area through its leadership role as one of 10 key stakeholders in the Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute. The area is also home to The Center for Practical Bioethics, an organization nationally recognized for its work in the field of bioethics, which allows students to the opportunity to regularly interact and learn from experts in the field.KCUMB faculty members are actively pursuing research opportunities in a variety of areas, including neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, diabetes, anemia and HIV. Graduates of the College of Biosciences are uniquely positioned to further their educational experiences by pursuing programs in medicine, veterinary medicine, research, nursing or other related fields.
