Today some of the most critical challenges in healthcare revolve around ethical and humanistic issues. The master of arts in bioethics part of our DO/MA in bioethics program provides you with a broad orientation to the interdisciplinary field of bioethics.
Our curriculum promotes the development of important competencies for the practice of medicine in the 21st century. With this specialized bioethics degree, you'll be qualified to become a leader on hospital ethics committees and among your colleagues at academic medical centers, clinics, group practices and hospitals.
In addition, completion of the bioethics degree will demonstrate that you've developed specialized clinical skills, which will enhance your application for scholarships, internships and residencies.
This dual-degree track is approximately 44 months in length and is designed for medical students who decide to pursue a joint master’s degree in bioethics.Graduates of the KCU dual-degree in bioethics will be prepared to provide needed leadership. The degree program provides an in-depth examination of philosophical and religious ethics. Students can complete both the doctor of osteopathic medicine and master of arts in bioethics at the end of four years.
