  • COMLEX-USA Level 1 Scores

    COMLEX-USA Level 1 is typically given to second-year osteopathic medical students. It emphasizes the scientific concepts and principles necessary for understanding the mechanisms of health, medical problems and disease processes.

    COMLEX-USA Level 2 Scores

    COMLEX-USA Level 2 has two separate examinations: Level 2-Cognitive Evaluation (CE) and Level 2-Performance Evaluation (PE). Level 2 examinations are typically given to fourth-year osteopathic medical students.

    Level 2-CE emphasizes the medical concepts and principles necessary for making appropriate medical diagnoses through patient history and physical examination findings.     The COMLEX-USA Level 2-PE provides an assessment of fundamental clinical skills in two distinctive domains, humanistic and biomedical/biomechanical. Scoring is reported as pass or fail only.  For more information about COMLEX-USA Level 2-PE, visit the NBOME website.

    COMLEX-USA Level 2-PE/Clinical Skills

    To pass Level 2-PE, candidates are required to meet standards in two separate clinical skills domains: the Humanistic Domain and the Biomedical/Biomechanical Domain.
