A block of rooms is reserved at the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza located at 401 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, Mo., 64112. The room rate is $179 per night. Room rates are valid until August 27, 2013, and are available when booking during the following dates of Sept. 17-22.

Shuttles will run Thursday-Saturday, September 19-21, from the hotel to the KCUMB campus.

• Thursday, Sept. 19:  6:45 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Friday, Sept. 20: 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Saturday, Sept. 21: 6:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Visitor Parking: See visitor-designated parking on the KCUMB campus (blue-highlighted parking). Visitors are not required to display a permit.

I-29/I-35 south
Over the Christopher Bond Bridge 
Take first left exit to the Paseo Blvd. 
Turn left on Independence Ave. (24 Hwy) 
Turn left on Woodland

From the east: 
I-70 west
Take exit 3A (the Paseo exit—north)
Turn right and go eight blocks (to the seventh stop light)
Turn right on Independence Ave. (24 Hwy) 
Turn left onto Woodland

From the west:
I-70 east
Take exit 2H (24 Hwy East)
Turn right onto Independence Ave. (24 Hwy)
Take Independence Ave. to fourth stop light
Turn left onto Woodland

From the southwest:
I-35 north or I-670 east
Take I-70 east
Move to the left lane immediately 
Take 2N exit which is I-35 north
Take 2H exit which is Admiral Blvd.
