The degree programs at our College of Biosciences showcase KCUMB’s continuing commitment to excellence in education, as well as its proactive approach to serving the community. Each program was designed, in part, to fulfill needs in the Kansas City community for additional professionals in research and bioethics. Kansas City is home to several of the country’s top research facilities, and KCUMB actively works to attract top researchers and millions of dollars in funding to the area through its leadership role as one of 10 key stakeholders in the Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute. The area is also home to The Center for Practical Bioethics, an organization nationally recognized for its work in the field of bioethics, which allows students to the opportunity to regularly interact and learn from experts in the field.
