What time should I arrive for the interview day and where should I go to check-in?
All interview days begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Butterworth Alumni Center. Doors will open at 8 a.m. Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early to check in and receive information for the day.
Where should I park on interview day?
You may park in the visitor parking spaces on the northeast corner of the Administration Building or in the student parking lots. Click here to see a map of visitor parking.
Does KCUMB have a dress code? What should I wear to my interview?
KCUMB is a professional medical school and the dress code is professional for our faculty and students. We encourage you to dress professionally for your interview.
How long will the interview take?
Your interview will last approximately 45 minutes.
Who conducts the interview?
You will be interviewed by a team of two members from our community of faculty, staff, physicians and alumni.
Will I receive a tour of the campus?
Yes. Our student ambassadors will be taking you on a guided tour of our campus and facilities. They will also be your hosts for lunch, so that they can answer your questions about KCUMB.
Does KCUMB provide transportation to the airport?
No. We are only able to provide transportation to/from the Holiday Inn – Westport Plaza and The Q Hotel and KCUMB on the day of your interview.
Can I bring my spouse or a parent with me?
Yes. Please inform us in advance if you are bringing a guest who will also need transportation to and from the hotels and KCUMB.
If I'm planning on traveling the day of my interview, when should I schedule my flight to depart from Kansas City International Airport?
We encourage you to schedule a flight that departs after 6 p.m. to ensure that you will have adequate time to reach the airport following your interview.
