Health Clinics

  • KCUMB clinics are on campus to provide students and full-time employees with convenient and free services for acute care (short-term treatment) only. It is not the purpose of KCUMB to provide care or prescriptions for chronic or ongoing medical conditions. Those who require chronic care or need to be seen during off-hours are encouraged to contact KCUMB Physician Associates at 816-941-1600 or their own provider.

All expenses for services obtained outside of the clinics will be the responsibility of the student or employee. Should a student become ill and unable to take an examination, he/she is responsible for reporting this in accordance with the policy detailed in the Attendance/Absences section of the Student Handbook (PDF).

You will not be required to time out for an appointment unless that appointment will take longer than 15 minutes.

    Please note:

    • The EHC does not offer Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT).
    • The EHC will not provide prescriptions or refills for controlled substances. Any employee requesting a prescription or a refill for a controlled substance will be directed to contact their primary care provider.
    • The EHC will not provide any services for complaints that potentially could be related to Workers’ Compensation. Any employee presenting with complaints potentially related to a Workers’ Compensation case, will be directed to the Human Resources Department at KCUMB.
    • An employee seen in the EHC may require time off from work for their acute illness. An employee seen in the EHC, prior to missing work, may receive a work excuse for up to 24 hours. Any time off from work longer than 24 hours will require the employee to make an appointment with, and obtain an excused absence from, their primary care provider.
