    Grants/Funding

    • Platelet TDP-43 protein: A proxy for proteinopathy in Alzheimer's disease, KU Alzheimer's Disease Center, 08/2013 - 08/2014
Developing a peripheral biomarker/surogate marker that can be used for early detection of Alzheimer's disease before the clinical manifestations are revealed.
    • Human platelet TDP-43 protein: Potential molecular indicator for ALS, FRONTIERS - Trail Blazer Award, 04/2013 - 04/2014
This small project will strengthen our proof-of-concept that longitudinally monitoring the chemical modifications of TDP-43 in platelets of ALS patients will help clinicians to make early diagnosis long before the onset of ALS.
