KCUMB supports a diverse range of organizations both in the greater Kansas City area and throughout the world. Our students share our commitment to outreach through an integrated curriculum that incorporates service throughout the year. Our employees support several organizations and are given the opportunity to use some of their work time to participate in service opportunities.
KCUMB offers several opportunities for faculty, staff and students to participate in community service throughout the Kansas City area.
As part of the curriculum, KCUMB provides students with service-learning opportunities that promote greater awareness of community resources that may be of benefit to future patients and their families.
KCUMB offers annual opportunities for students to participate in medical mission trips that provide much-needed health care to indigent and isolated people in remote areas around the world.
KCUMB's Score 1 for Health is a preventive health program for elementary-aged children that provides free, in-school health screenings, preventive health education and health-care mentors for children.
