Kansas City Region Clerkship Sites

The Kansas City Region is a preceptor-based site in which students follow an assigned physician(s) to affiliated facilities. Students should expect regular commutes up to one hour. Once scheduling is confirmed, it is the responsibility of the student to ensure all necessary information is obtained from the preceptor prior to the start of each clerkship. Students assigned to the KC Region are required to complete an out-of-town clerkship(s) based on service availability and/or track placement. Travel up to four to six hours away from KC may be required and housing is generally provided.

All scheduling requests to work with a specific physician, clinic or hospital in the KC Region go through Clinical Education. Students may not contact physicians, clinics or hospitals directly.
