Mid-Missouri Area Health Education Center (AHEC)

The Missouri Area Health Education Centers (MAHEC) is an academic community that supports students pursuing health care careers. The goal is to improve access to quality health care, particularly primary and preventative care, by growing and supporting Missouri’s health care workforce.

These efforts are supported in part with funds from the U.S. Department of Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) and local partners in the communities.
