Based out of Palm Beach County, Fla., we utilize the strengths of our facilities and affiliations to provide optimal training experiences utilizing evidence-based medicine, by board certified specialists and sub-specialists. JFK Medical Center - North Campus, which has been training physicians for more than 30 years, is the sponsoring institution of the Palm Beach Consortium for Graduate Medical Education (PBCGME), an alliance of JFK Medical Center, Palms West Hospital, St. Lucie Medical Center and University Hospital and Medical Center.

  • Facility Resources: Students will have access to the medical library, computers, internet, printers and phones while on duty at the hospital.

Duties & Opportunities

  • Student Duties: Students are required to participate in weekend rounds.
  • Didactic Opportunities: Students are required to participate in morning report, lectures, patient rounds and complete required reading assignments.
  • OMT/OPP Opportunities: Opportunities for skill development in OMT/OPP is provided during lectures, patient rounds and in the clinical setting during family and internal medicine clerkships.

Site Specifics

  • Application through VSAS required for fourth-year clerkships
  • Background Check and Drug Screen is required for third year only
  • Fingerprinting required prior to third-year psychiatry clerkships
  • TB Screening is required annually
  • BLS and ACLS Certifications must be current
  • Orientation is provided prior to the first clerkship
  • Attestation form to confirm background check and drug screen completed by KCU
