KCUMB Research Symposium
![]() |
Each year, KCUMB's Research Symposium provides an opportunity to showcase research conducted by KCUMB faculty, students, and staff and to learn from national experts in areas ranging from genetic medicine to obesity and diabetes.
The keynote speaker plays a major role by addressing topics that illustrate the value of research and its importance in increasing knowledge, improving health and enhancing the empirical care of patients.
Presentations include significant biological information as well as behavioral and psychosocial issues. Faculty and students also participate in oral and poster presentations at KCUMB's Research Symposium. A panel of external evaluators drawn from the local community, as well as two student researchers evaluates the oral and poster presentations.
