For nearly 100 years, KCUMB has been committed to a primary purpose –
the education and training of caring, compassionate osteopathic
physicians. Today, that purpose has grown to include training students
in bioethics and biomedical sciences. Approximately 1,100 students
attend KCUMB's two colleges, the College of Osteopathic Medicine and the

Beginning in 2012, KCUMB engaged students, faculty, staff and administrators, in partnership with Helix Architecture, to outline a Campus Master Plan.
KCUMB is the second-largest provider of physicians in Missouri and
Kansas, with 70 percent of alumni practicing in primary care specialties
and 40 percent in rural areas in the regions.
