Any
use beyond the above hours is to be considered Extra Use or
Extended Hours and the appropriate form shall be submitted
to the Director of Student Services for approval. Forms can
be obtained from the KCUMB receptionist. Changes in building
hours will happen from time to time as functions and needs
change. Students may be asked to prepare to leave certain
areas 15 minutes before designated closing times. KCUMB will
also implement summer and holiday hours which will be posted.
Sports
Medicine Facility
The Sports Medicine Facility is located in the basement of the
Educational Pavilion and is open to students, staff and faculty
only. A waiver must be signed and returned to the Physical Facilities
Office on the third floor of the Administration Building prior
to use of the facility. Waivers will also be available at the
time of registration. Students are expected to respect the facility
and equipment, and leave it in the condition it was before they
worked out. Students failing to show respect for the facility
or abusing the equipment may face disciplinary actions.
Student
Health Center
The Student Health Center is located on 1st floor of the Educational
Pavilion. The Center is open to all students every day while classes
are in session and during exam periods. Students must complete
a Student Health Center history background form which will be
available both at registration and at the Center.
The
Student Health Center is a facility offering acute care for
students. It is on campus to provide students with convenient
and free services. The purpose of the Student Health Center
is to serve as an acute care facility where no follow-up is
necessary. This includes upper respiratory tract infections,
GI distress, dermatitis, and acute somatic complaints. If
students have more serious needs or need to be seen during
off-hours, they are encouraged to contact the KCUMB Family
Care Center. All services and expenses obtained anywhere besides
the Student Health Center on campus will be the responsibility
of the student. If a student is ill and is unable to take
an exam, please refer to the Attendance/Absences policy.
