The Fall 2013 CME Scientific Seminar and Update in Clinical Medicine is designed to address common conditions and timely issues relevant to health-care professionals, particularly those in primary care.
The course began Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 18, at the InterContinental Kansas City on the Plaza, with a hands-on workshop on OMT. The main conference lectures was held on the KCUMB campus. Topics focused on specific practice issues and disease states relative to primary care physicians. Chronic health conditions covered included diabetes, asthma and allergies, celiac disease, sinusitis and allergic rhinitis, and cancer.
Practice management issues addressed were electronic medical records, ICD-10 and maintenance of certification. The conference objectives allowed each participant to target their patient population’s needs.

The target audience for the Fall 2013 CME Scientific Seminar and Update in Clinical Medicine is physicians, physicians in training, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and other health-care professionals.
