Academic Records Request

Request a copy of your academic records by completing the Academic Records Request form. Records include:

  • Enrollment Verifications
  • COMLEX and/or USLME Scores
  • MSPE/Dean’s Letter
  • Photocopy of Diploma – For a duplicate diploma, submit the Duplicate Diploma form

Processing Time

Requests are processed in the order they are received and typically take up to five working days to process. Requests for multiple transcripts, several different documents, or requests during peak operating times (i.e., graduation), may require additional processing time.

Information requested to meet a third-party deadline should have at least a two-week lead-time to ensure expedient delivery and appropriate recording. Additionally, requests for transcripts will only be processed if you have fulfilled all financial obligations to KCU.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of the request; credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover), cash, check or money order are accepted. Requests will not be processed unless payment has been received in full and you have fulfilled all financial obligations to KCU. Official transcripts are generally mailed through U.S. Postal Service.

About COMLEX & USMLE Scores

Request COMLEX and USMLE scores by submitting an Academic Records Request Form. The National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME) provides KCU with COMLEX Level I & II examination scores. However, the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) does not provide the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) scores.

Consequently, you are encouraged to provide us a copy of your USMLE results not only for inclusion in your student record, but in anticipation of future requests.

COMLEX & USMLE examination results provided by KCU are not considered official, but instead offered as a convenience. Standard procedures and processing time for securing any type of academic records applies. Contact the testing agency directly for official copies of your results.

About Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE)

During your second year of osteopathic medical school, you’ll submit a composite resume, vita or portfolio to supplement your Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE). The MSPE is designed to assist you in getting into postgraduate programs, such as internships and residencies. It does so by providing an overview of your academic performance in school. It includes:

  • Academic progress
  • Faculty and preceptor recommendations
  • Clerkship evaluations

You may submit additional information, such as:

  • Volunteer service
  • Leadership and research opportunities
  • Membership in service organizations

Questions and/or concerns regarding student MSPE (Dean’s Letters) should be directed to Brenda Chezek at 816-654-7352, bchezek@kcumb.edu.
