Fit Doctors Association

  • The Fit Doctors Association (FDA) at KCU is an interest group whose goal is to motivate the students at the University to be more invested in their own health and wellness. It is the belief of the group that, in order to make the most impact in the health of future patients, members must lead by example as healthy individuals. Monthly meetings help to educate and inform students about health and wellness from the perspectives of professionals involved in promoting health, ranging from physicians to dietitians and fitness trainers. The group offers support to members as each individual strives to improve their personal health. Collaboration and teamwork are demonstrated through group activities such as weekly runs, swimming, weightlifting, climbing, cycling, aerobics and yoga. The organization also offers resources, such as recipes and workouts, to help members achieve their health goals.
