The Student Interest Group in Neurology (SIGN) is a nationally recognized organization sponsored by the American Academy of Neurology. The club's focus on neuroscience encompasses multiple fields including clinical neurology, psychiatry, basic science research, and neuroanatomy. Club members are given the opportunity to learn more about the variety of career fields and practice settings available to those who are interested in neuroscience and neurology.
Additionally, SIGN is dedicated to raising awareness and support for neurological, neuromuscular, and psychiatric disorders through volunteer work with local organizations. Members are presented with networking opportunities with local clinicians and administrators through shadowing and panel discussions that are invaluable not only to those interested in a career in neurology but to any career in medicine.
